Aeromat and EcoWise Yoga Mat Care Instructions

(Closed Cell Material: TPE, PVC, EVA Foam) / (Open Cell Material: Natural Rubber, PU)

To maintain the original quality of your yoga mat for personal hygiene, we recommend that you use the following guidelines to clean your yoga mat.

Open Cell

  • Daily/Routine Practice Care Instructions

1. After each practice, simply wipe the sweat off the surface of the mat using a damp cloth with a dabbing motion.

2. Allow the mat to air dry in room temperature for 20 minutes.

  • Periodical Care Instructions

NOTE: Depending on the frequency of your yoga practice, we strongly recommend that you perform the following method at least once every two weeks.

1.    Lay a dry towel on the surface of the mat. Next, step on the towel to squeeze out the sweat from the mat.

2.    Allow the mat to air dry. Avoid direct sunlight as it may cause wrinkles and cracks.

Open cell materials absorb sweat and excess moisture. Therefore, the mat will have a better grip during your practice. It will get heavier over time as moisture is trapped within the small pores. Your mat should be replaced when the grip is lost or has a heavy feel.

Closed Cell

DISCLAIMER:

We DO NOT recommend using harsh chemicals to clean the mat as they can dry out the surface and shorten the mat’s lifespan. If you wish to clean with a sanitizer (rubbing alcohol, bleach etc.), dilute it with a lot of water and wipe it through the mat’s surface. Then immediately wipe off with water only to minimize the damage.
